About The Position

The Department of Management at the David Eccles School of Business of the University of Utah ( https://eccles.utah.edu ) seeks to fill one or more tenure-track faculty positions in organizational behavior/organizational studies starting August 2024. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in management, organizational behavior, or a related field. Tenure-track faculty members in the department are expected to publish regularly in top-tier management journals. Candidates of all ranks are encouraged to apply. Given needs in the department and college, preference will be given to candidates with a track record of publishing in management journals. The tenure-track organizational studies faculty in the Management Department includes Bryan Bonner, Kristina Diekmann, Jesse Graham, Glen Kreiner, Kylie Rochford, Harris Sondak, Amelia Stillwell, David Tannenbaum, and Elizabeth Tenney. With a shared interest in the dynamics of organizational life, this group of scholars conducts research in a broad range of research methods and topics including (but not limited to) ethical decision making in organizations, individual and group decision making processes, intra-group conflict, negotiations, stigma, diversity, workplace relationships, mental health, moral judgments, politics in the workplace, organizational justice, and identity processes. This work is published in various top-tier outlets. Our department values open science as appropriately applied to a wide variety of research methods (quantitative, qualitative, mixed-method) . The David Eccles School of Business faculty is recognized for its research, teaching, and scholarship. The school offers degree programs at the undergraduate, masters, executive, and doctoral levels, and teaching opportunities are available in each program. The University of Utah is located in Salt Lake City at the foot of the Wasatch Mountains. This location offers excellent opportunities for outdoor recreation, including easy access to the Rocky Mountains, the red rock country of the Colorado Plateau, and eight national parks. Salt Lake City is the center of a metropolitan area with a population of approximately two million residents, has extensive arts and cultural activities, and has an international airport that is a Delta Airlines hub.
