About The Position

The Department of Computer Science in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University of Science and Technology in Ames, Iowa, seeks outstanding applicants for an open rank faculty (Assistant/Associate/Full Professor) position. We are looking for exceptional candidates in the broad area of Artificial Intelligence. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and sustain a strong, externally funded computer science research program, conduct collaborative and interdisciplinary research, publish in top venues, supervise graduate students, teach undergraduate and graduate computer science courses, mentor and engage undergraduates, as well as prospective students, and enhance Iowa State University through professional and institutional service.

Requirements

Ph.D. or equivalent degree by start date in computer science or a closely related field.
Evidence of a strong publication record in top-tier conferences or journals.
ASSOCIATE OR FULL PROFESSOR: Demonstrated leadership in the field
ASSOCIATE OR FULL PROFESSOR: Demonstrated ability to maintain an externally funded research program
ASSOCIATE OR FULL PROFESSOR: Demonstrated ability or potential to lead large research projects
ASSOCIATE OR FULL PROFESSOR: A record that meets the standards for tenure at Iowa State University
