About The Position

The Computer Science Department at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position starting in Fall 2026. Exceptional candidates will be considered in all areas of Computer Science, but priority will be given to those that can build synergies in the area of Cybersecurity, defined broadly. We aim to hire at the rank of Assistant Professor, but exceptional candidates at higher ranks will also be considered. Computer Science faculty are expected to contribute to department's undergraduate and graduate instructional programs, pursue external funding, and publish in top conferences and journals. NJIT has recently expanded its graduate programs to a satellite location in Jersey City, just across the Hudson River from the financial district of Lower Manhattan in New York City, where it serves the vast pool of working professionals in the region. The faculty may be called upon to teach at this location as needed.

Requirements

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree by Summer 2026 in a relevant discipline
outstanding academic credentials that demonstrate their ability to conduct independent world-class research and attract external funding
At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
