The newly established Hypertension and Kidney Research Center, under the leadership of Dr. Alexander Staruschenko, is inviting excellent candidates for a tenured or tenure-track position in the ranks of ASSISTANT, ASSOCIATE or FULL PROFESSOR. We are interested in investigators who work on all themes of cardiovascular biology and medicine, including but not limited to hypertension, renal physiology, chronic kidney disease, diabetic nephropathy, and cardiovascular disease. Qualified candidates are expected to have already established, or have the potential to develop, a nationally recognized, competitively funded research program. Successful candidates will be offered institutional salary support commensurate with experience and highly competitive start-up packages that promote success. Based on qualifications, the home department may be Molecular Pharmacology & Physiology, Molecular Medicine, Internal Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, or another relevant department at USF. We encourage applications from those studying basic and translational mechanisms of hypertension and various kidney diseases. We are specifically interested in candidates whose research approaches involve innovative in vivo and ex vivo approaches. Candidates should have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree in a relevant field and have proven success in conducting research, as demonstrated by impactful publications and grant funding.
