About The Position

The College of Education at Oregon State University is seeking a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, fixed-term Assistant/Associate/Full Professor (Clinical) in Social Work. This role involves program coordination and leadership for the new Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program and the planned Master of Social Work (MSW) program. The position emphasizes teaching, advising, and supervising students, with a focus on promoting equitable learning outcomes and engaging in scholarly activities. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2025, with a full consideration date for applications set for January 1, 2025.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in social work or closely related discipline.
  • Graduate of an MSW program accredited by the Council for Social Work Education (CSWE).
  • Licensed or license eligible in Oregon (e.g., Licensed Clinical Social Worker).
  • Experience or training that broadens capacity to equalize student success or impact underserved audiences.

  • Experience mentoring and advising students within a cohort model.
  • Experience supervising practica and internships.
  • Experience teaching social work courses.
  • Evidence of ongoing clinical social work practice.
  • Experience teaching in online and virtual formats.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program coordination and leadership for the BSW and MSW programs.
  • Teach, train, advise, and supervise students in various instructional formats.
  • Engage in program review, accreditation compliance, and curriculum assessment.
  • Participate in scholarly activities, including publication and presentation of research.
  • Serve on committees and participate in service activities that enhance the academic unit.
