About The Position

The Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering (HWCOE) at the University of Florida is soliciting applications for a time-limited, full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Master Lecturer (working title Assistant/Associate/Full Instructional Professor) in Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) Department The faculty member will teach selected CISE graduate courses for the Computer Science Masters programs with AI and Cybersecurity concentrations, at the Jacksonville, Florida campus, according to the specific needs of the department. The faculty member will also contribute to continuous curriculum improvement and developing new educational initiatives. The candidate will have the opportunity to participate in department, university, and professional service activities. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with faculty in and outside the department and be involved in service to the university and the profession. This position is in Jacksonville and will support the CISE operations on the Jacksonville campus of the University of Florida. While the main UF campus is in Gainesville FL, the UF Jacksonville campus is ~2 hours away. The UF Jacksonville campus is a new expansion of the UF main campus opening Fall 2026, with immense potential and opportunities to expand existing education and research programs, establish innovative culture and foster industry relationships. This position will also engage prospective and current students in recruiting, orientation, graduation, networking, and other events and represent the CISE department in various functions in the Jacksonville area community. Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or in a closely related discipline.
