About The Position

The City of Pittsburg is seeking an Assistant/Associate Engineer to join the Engineering Division within the Public Works Department. Requirements

• Excellent oral and writing skills for effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Review design plans and construction projects.
• Evaluate roadways, traffic systems, storm drains, sewer, and water projects.
• Assist Senior Civil Engineers on large and complex construction projects.
• Serve as a resident engineer on medium to larger sized projects.
• Support the Capital Improvement Program and Land Development initiatives.
• Perform field inspections with limited supervision.
• Prepare accurate plans, reports, and computations.
