Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support an academic success program focusing on student academic performance metrics.
  • Develop and support a student engagement program, including student government and community service involvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing and strategic planning for Commencement and Match Day events.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion through programming and events in collaboration with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Facilitate student access to health services, mental health counseling, and wellness facilities.
  • Develop and support an integrated career advising program for medical students.
  • Create and support a student wellness program with peer mentorship.
  • Liaise with Student Affairs leadership on TCU's main campus to address student needs.
  • Organize administrative support for Student Progress and Promotion and Student Appeals Committees.
  • Aid in writing student-related policies regarding progression and support.
  • Oversee compliance of student services with accrediting bodies like LCME.
  • Construct standards related to medical student support for the LCME database.
  • Supervise all staff within the Office of Student Affairs - Medical School.
  • Represent the school at AAMC Group on Student Affairs and attend relevant conferences.
  • Coordinate student education on ERAS, NRMP, and Match-related services.
  • Ensure compliance with national, school, and university policies in student affairs.
  • Manage the Medical Student Performance Evaluation (MSPE).
  • Manage the budget for the Office of Student Affairs - Medical School.
  • Implement additional responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Dean or Dean.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
