About The Position

Towne Insurance is hiring an Assistant Account Manager to join their Commercial Lines team in Norfolk. This role provides professional service to new and existing clients by assisting the account management team. Towne Insurance is a nationally recognized top insurance and risk management firm specializing in customized insurance solutions for all segments of business clients, families, and individuals. The Assistant Account Manager's responsibilities include processing audits and endorsements, checking and attaching insurance policies in Epic, assembling client’s insurance policies for delivery, processing and issuing proofs of insurance (certificates, evidence of property), processing endorsement requests, direct bill cancellations, and reinstatements, obtaining loss runs, endorsements, billing, etc., from carrier websites, attending office/team meetings, and participating in carrier website training.

Requirements

  • Active P&C license or the ability to obtain one upon hire
  • Strong attention to detail and strong communication skills
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills
  • Microsoft Products experience (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Nice To Haves

  • Personal or commercial insurance experience
  • Experience working with insurance software, preferably Applied Systems
  • Experience working in an office setting

Responsibilities

  • Process audits and endorsements
  • Check and attach insurance policies in Epic
  • Assemble client’s insurance policies for delivery
  • Process and issue proofs of insurance (certificates, evidence of property)
  • Process endorsement requests, direct bill cancellations, and reinstatements
  • Obtain loss runs, endorsements, billing, etc., from carrier websites
  • Attend office/team meetings as necessary
  • Participate in carrier website training
