GMMB has a hybrid work schedule with at least three days in office presence; additional in office days as needed. This position is based in Washington, DC. Salary range - $50,000 - $60,000 This is a full-time, salaried and benefits eligible position to run through December 31, 2026. This is an entry-level position on GMMB’s award-winning political team and is a great opportunity to play a key supporting role on some of the biggest races and issues in the 2026 midterm election cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Previous internship or experience in political campaigns, issue advocacy, advertising, communications, public relations, or related field a plus.
  • Passion for Democratic politics and advocacy.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and willing to work long hours under tight deadlines in high pressure situations.
  • Positive attitude and are a team player!

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with editing and creative tools like Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Premiere.
  • Proficiency with organizational tools like Microsoft Xcel and Google Sheets, including advanced formula skills and building macros.
  • Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence tools and understanding how and when to utilize them and how to build agents to promote efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain client and project documents, including timelines/calendars, budget trackers, meeting notes, and conference call reports.
  • Research, analyze, and summarize political landscape and trends for prospective and current clients.
  • Conduct footage research, pre-interviews of video shoot candidates, and assist team leaders with ad production process and development.
  • Develop quick-turn, succinct memos and briefs on developing issues in the political and media landscape.
  • Coordinate logistics and deliverables between account, creative, paid media, digital, billing, and/or production departments, which can include scheduling meetings, updating deliverables spreadsheets, and more.
  • Assist senior team leaders with administrative support as needed, including coordinating travel, expenses, scheduling, and other tasks as they arise.
  • Provide quality control support for production of all advertising and media content, from copy editing to footage cue sheet preparation and reviews.
  • Schedule and coordinate client, internal, vendor meetings, and video calls.
  • Become well-versed on assigned clients and their priorities and issue areas, including the political landscape, the state of competitive races, and important news stories that could impact clients.
  • Learn the services of the firm including media relations, communications, event planning, grassroots organizing and coalition building, advertising, and digital and social media.
