About The Position

The Vice President of Equities ETF Portfolio Manager at Goldman Sachs is responsible for overseeing and managing ETF portfolios, which includes portfolio rebalancing, cash management, and risk management. This role is critical in delivering tax-efficient outcomes and involves collaboration with ETF market makers and the broader division for product development and enhancements. The position requires a strong background in portfolio management and quantitative strategies, along with programming skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 5-6 years of practical experience in portfolio construction/portfolio management activities.
  • Working knowledge of ETF products and markets.
  • Experience in managing passive and active quantitative strategies, including derivatives-based strategies.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and VBA.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage ETF portfolios, including portfolio rebalancing and cash management.
  • Implement risk management strategies for ETF portfolios.
  • Collaborate with ETF market makers to manage primary market creations/redemptions activity.
  • Deliver tax-efficient outcomes in the portfolios.
  • Engage in the research and development of new ETF products and strategies.
  • Enhance existing products and conduct industry and competitive analysis.
  • Participate in systems development and other select projects.
