About The Position

Requirements

• Undergraduate Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Investment Banking or Principal Investing experience.
• Strong quantitative, financial modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for investing with specific interest in credit and other structured products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible and creative mindset; ability to analyze a variety of industries and businesses.
• Ability to self-direct, analyze, evaluate, and form independent judgments.
• Ability to interact and build relationships with a wide variety of people.

Responsibilities

• Support investment ideas across the product suite of Credit via early engagement with relevant parties.
• Engage in all aspects of due diligence and business analysis to develop and refine investment theses.
• Participate in structuring, negotiating, and documenting investments.
• Communicate and defend investment theses to internal stakeholders and committees.
• Actively monitor existing investments in the portfolio.
• Build relationships with sponsors, management teams, and internal GS stakeholders.
• Conduct valuations and financial modeling.
• Perform industry and company-specific due diligence, including research and management meetings.
• Prepare and present investment memos.
• Engage in LBO modeling and legal documentation & negotiation.
