Asset Reliability Manager — Plastics Manufacturing You keep complex machinery humming, downtime low, and productivity high. If leading technicians, shaping preventive programs, and making data-driven decisions energize you, this role is your arena. What a Day Might Look Like You arrive to review overnight CMMS logs, scan equipment performance dashboards, and huddle with production to align priorities. A preventive maintenance window opens on an extruder line; your team executes, you verify parts availability, and a contractor arrives for a specialized retrofit. By afternoon, you’ve closed out inspections, approved purchase requests, updated equipment histories, and coached a tech through a root-cause analysis that prevents the next unplanned stop. What You’ll Lead Design and run a site-wide maintenance program that safeguards the performance and lifespan of plastics manufacturing assets. Hire, guide, train, and support a high-performing team of maintenance technicians. Conduct routine inspections and assessments to surface risks and improvement opportunities. Plan and schedule preventive work, repairs, and upgrades to minimize downtime and keep output on track. Partner with production to sequence maintenance around manufacturing needs with minimal disruption. Monitor equipment data, analyze trends, and deploy corrective actions that boost reliability and reduce failures. Coordinate external vendors/contractors for specialized repairs and equipment installations. Own the maintenance budget, manage spend, and source parts and supplies cost‑effectively. Champion safety compliance and embed a safety-first mindset across maintenance and the plant. Maintain complete, accurate records: work orders, equipment histories, and inventory levels. Pitch in with other essential duties as assigned. Tools, Tech, and Environment You’ll work with plastics processing equipment—extruders, injection molding machines, conveyors, and related systems—supported by a CMMS and supporting software to plan, schedule, and document work. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline preferred. 5+ years of maintenance management experience in plastics manufacturing or a comparable industrial setting. Hands‑on knowledge of extruders, injection molding equipment, conveyors, and allied systems. Proven leadership: motivate, develop, and direct a team of maintenance technicians. Proficiency in maintenance planning and scheduling with sharp prioritization and resource allocation skills. Expertise with preventive maintenance and reliability‑centered maintenance methodologies. Working knowledge of industrial safety regulations and best practices. Strong problem solver who makes sound decisions under pressure. Clear communicator and collaborator with cross‑functional teams and external partners. Fluent with CMMS platforms and related software tools. Lead the charge on reliability, elevate uptime, and help our teams produce with confidence.
