As an Asset Protection Visual Security Officer (VSO) at Bloomingdale's, your primary responsibility will be to create a visible and welcoming presence at the customer entrance, which is essential in deterring theft while enhancing the overall shopping experience for customers. You will play a crucial role in supporting the store's operations by ensuring a safe environment for both customers and colleagues. This position requires you to greet and engage with customers, offering assistance as needed, and maintaining a high level of professionalism in all interactions. The training program provided will equip you with the necessary knowledge and tools to excel in your role and grow in responsibility over time. In this role, you will be expected to visually monitor customer traffic as they enter and exit the store, actively deterring theft through keen observation. You will also be responsible for communicating any suspicious activities to the Asset Protection/Security team, ensuring that the store remains a safe place for everyone. Your ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work independently or as part of a team will be vital to your success in this position. The role requires flexibility in scheduling, as you may be asked to work during retail hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
