As an Asset Protection Supervisor at Burlington Stores, Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our store environment. You will be responsible for executing and directing the implementation of the company's Shortage Control and Safety programs, leading the asset protection team in efforts to safeguard customers, associates, merchandise, and the physical structure of the store. Your presence will serve as a deterrent to any attempts to compromise safety and security, and you will lead by example, maintaining professionalism even in high-stress situations. In this role, you will perform and supervise patrols and strategic monitoring of the store, creating a visible security presence for both customers and associates. You will assist in the recruitment and training of new Shortage Control Associates, ensuring that all team members are up-to-date on company safety and security standards. Investigating incidents of theft and resolving matters related to safety, inventory shortage, and cash handling will be part of your responsibilities. You will also conduct safety inspections and audits, documenting results and communicating any potential hazards to the key holder on duty. Your role will require you to ensure physical security by controlling access for associates and visitors, monitoring CCTV when applicable, and representing Burlington in court proceedings related to asset protection apprehensions and investigations. Building relationships with local law enforcement will also be a key aspect of your position. Flexibility in your schedule is essential, as you will be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Additionally, you should be prepared to stand and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 40 lbs. This position is ideal for those with prior experience as a security guard, asset protection officer, or retail security associate.
