The Asset Protection Specialist is responsible for executing and supporting Loss Prevention/Asset Protection programs and initiatives aimed at reducing company losses and protecting company assets, which directly impact overall profitability. This role works hands-on with the CCTV/EBR (exception-based reporting) vendor and other partners to develop, maintain, and optimize systems that help identify potential risks and opportunities. The specialist actively investigates employee theft cases and works closely with the AP field team and District Managers to detect patterns and mitigate loss. The position coordinates a range of activities to include external audit counts of stores, capital projects related to cameras, DVRs, safes, and other security equipment, and supports new store development by helping design and implement Asset Protection tools and solutions across the network. The specialist will work with external audit vendors to schedule, monitor, and evaluate physical inventory counts, will from time to time conduct investigations into company losses and integrity-related issues and contributes to the creation and delivery of field-facing training programs to educate managers on asset protection and safety practices. Additionally, the role builds expertise in physical inventory processes, reconciles and analyzes inventory issues, and collaborates with field and Home Office partners to improve procedures, manage inventory controls, and drive process improvements.
