What it's like to be a Asset Protection Specailist at Asset Protection Specailist
The Asset Protection Specialist monitors store activity to detect and prevent internal and external theft using surveillance systems, reporting tools, and direct observation. This role conducts investigations into incidents of theft, fraud, or policy violations and prepares detailed, accurate reports documenting findings. The specialist partners with management to identify high-risk areas and implement shrink reduction strategies. Responsibilities also include auditing inventory processes, reviewing exception reports, supporting physical security controls such as alarms and access systems, and responding to safety or security incidents. Additionally, the Asset Protection Specialist provides training and guidance to associates on loss prevention awareness, safety procedures, and company policies.
