The Asset Protection Operations Coach drives sales by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, including accurate pricing, proper signing, inventory levels, cleanliness, and securing fragile/high-shrink merchandise. This role involves leading and developing teams through teaching, training, active listening, providing feedback, and communicating business objectives and company change efforts. The coach models exceptional customer service, manages customer service initiatives, resolves customer issues, and develops action plans for improvement. A core responsibility is controlling unexplained merchandise loss and improving profitability by setting performance goals, ensuring policy adherence, reviewing inventory reports, conducting operational reviews, and implementing control corrections. The position also requires detecting, deterring, investigating, and resolving violations of company policies and criminal activities, including evidence gathering, statement taking, report writing, and court testimony. Furthermore, the coach monitors and improves safety and risk controls, supervises safety teams, identifies accident trends, and provides training on accident prevention. They manage facility-level training and execution of asset protection, safety, claims, and receiving procedures, identifying training needs and delivering solutions. Finally, the role oversees claims and receiving operations, ensuring proper policy adherence, timely processing of claims (e.g., damaged, defective, returned items), and merchandise deliveries, while maintaining necessary documentation and reporting. The role also involves coordinating job-related activities, building stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and ethical standards.
