About The Position

Asset Protection Coordinator provides essential administrative and clerical support to the Brand Asset Protection team. This role serves as the primary receptionist at the Hyattsville office and is responsible for greeting visitors, managing incoming communications, and ensuring the smooth daily operation of front office activities. The Administrator performs a variety of tasks including data entry, document preparation, scheduling, and maintaining departmental records. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while upholding professionalism and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or relevant certification in Criminal Justice or Security preferred
  • 1–2 years of experience in loss prevention, asset protection, security, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of retail operations, shrink reduction strategies, and investigative techniques
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to detect suspicious behavior and respond appropriately
  • Basic understanding of laws related to theft, apprehension, and use of surveillance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and incident documentation
  • Attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Input new data into an assigned database, report, or document.
  • Maintain department records and files.
  • Coordinate scheduling of various Asset Protection-related meetings.
  • Correct inaccurate data and maintain documentation of action or communication related to correction.
  • Initiate service calls for building repairs and ensure proper billing
  • Process payroll and expense reports for Asset Protection employees
  • Support day-to-day administrative operations of the Brand Asset Protection function
  • Prepare, file, and manage internal documents and reports
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Perform other clerical duties as assigned
  • Write weekly schedules for Asset Protection associates
  • Screen Asset Protection Associate applications
  • Schedule interviews with applicants
  • Interview applicants
  • Process new hire paperwork
  • Train new hires
  • Conduct internal and external investigations
  • Data mining
