About The Position

The Asset Protection Analyst is responsible for utilizing software programs to detect potential theft or fraud within Cub/Shoppers stores. This role involves collaboration with the Retail Asset Protection team to send case leads for further investigation, track the success of investigations, and develop new queries in the software as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of Asset Protection experience preferred.
• Familiarity with CCTV system operation.
• Experience with case report writing preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and self-motivation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations.
• Good judgment in decision-making.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in retail loss prevention.
• Knowledge of legal regulations related to asset protection.

Responsibilities

• Utilize exception reporting software, CCTV review, and case reporting software to identify and prevent theft or fraud at the store level.
• Track case types and leads to determine successful investigation patterns and develop new queries for exploration.
• Follow up with field investigators on case outcomes and identify additional pathways used by associates involved in theft.
• Analyze Cash Over/Short and Deposit reporting to identify internal cash theft and generate case leads for field investigation.
• Train new Asset Protection associates and store associates on the use of reporting software and incident entry procedures.
• Use loyalty program reporting to identify fraudulent activities by associates and collaborate with other departments to share relevant information.
