The Asset Protection (AP) team's primary function is to ensure the safety of customers, employees, and brands. This involves collaborating with the store Emergency Response Team (ERT) to prepare for, respond to, and recover from various emergencies. Additionally, AP is responsible for safeguarding company profits by mitigating shrinkage risks, actively preventing, investigating, and resolving theft incidents to ensure merchandise availability for customers. The Asset Protection strategy is built upon three core pillars: protecting people by supporting employee and customer safety; protecting physical spaces, including both the building and merchandise assets; and supporting product accuracy through store partnerships to improve inventory accuracy and reduce shrinkage. The role of an Asset Protection Agent is dynamic, with no two days being identical.
