The Asset Protection (AP) team is responsible for ensuring the safety of customers, employees, and brands. They collaborate with the store Emergency Response Team (ERT) to prepare for, respond to, and recover from various emergencies. Additionally, AP safeguards company profits by mitigating shrinkage risks, and by preventing, investigating, and resolving theft to ensure merchandise availability for customers. The AP strategy is built upon three pillars: protecting people through employee and customer safety, protecting physical spaces including buildings and merchandise, and supporting product accuracy through improved inventory accuracy and shrinkage reduction.
