About The Position

Peraton is seeking an Asset Manager. This position is for an asset manager who is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of assets owned by Peraton and s supporting DOW agencies. Maintains, records, and controls property owned by the company. Conducts inventories, arranges disposal of obsolete or no-longer-required materials. Administers property control program activities to ensure continual accountability of company property and assets in accordance with applicable corporate policy or government regulations. Maintains property accountability records and determines condition and arranges disposal of surplus or obsolete material or equipment. Contacts potential users and negotiates transfers. Conducts property audits, develops, recommends, and implements property administration policies. Maintains auditable records of company property located at government facilities. Other responsiblites include: Maintain accurate and current records of all network infrastructure assets across the DOW enterprise environment, including hardware configuration, location, and deployment status. Track and update lifecycle milestone dates for all managed assets, including end of sale, end of software development, end of vulnerability/security support, and end of life (EoS/EoSWD/EoVS/EoL). Manage the annual and multi-year OEM support renewal process for all assets under contract, ensuring appropriate service levels are applied and decommissioned assets are removed from renewal scope prior to submission. Prepare detailed renewal reports and renewal packages for review by the finance team in advance of payment processing; ensure accuracy of line-item pricing, quantities, and contract terms. Track each renewal action from initiation through execution, maintaining status visibility for stakeholders throughout the process. Coordinate with the Peraton service desk to identify and resolve instances where assets have been erroneously removed from or are missing from active maintenance coverage; escalate and resolve discrepancies with the appropriate OEM. Administer OEM support and asset management portals (e.g., Cisco Smart Net, Juniper Care, Palo Alto support portal), maintaining data accuracy and ensuring appropriate customer access is provisioned. Respond to ad-hoc asset reporting requests from the government customer, delivering accurate and timely data in formats suitable for customer review. Proactively identify assets approaching lifecycle milestones that may require refresh, replacement, or exception planning, and communicate findings to program leadership. Track all software licenses, subscriptions, and maintenance agreements for network equipment.

Requirements

  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD, 9 years with HS diploma
  • Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain interim Secret clearance within 30 days of hire
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Experience in IT asset management, network infrastructure support, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience managing OEM support contracts and renewals (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5, or similar)
  • Proficiency with asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, or equivalent ITSM/ITAM platform)
  • Experience administering OEM support portals and managing customer access entitlements
  • Strong understanding of network hardware lifecycle concepts (EoS, EoL, EoSWD, EoVS)
  • Ability to prepare clear, accurate financial and operational reports for finance team and government customer consumption
  • Experience working within or supporting a DoD or federal government IT environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent renewal cycles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or equivalent tools for data management and reporting
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
