About The Position

Amentum is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Asset Manager to oversee the daily and long-term management of accountable and selected non-accountable IT hardware. This role is responsible for monitoring and tracking assets to ensure compliance with established asset-management processes and procedures. The Asset Manager will also develop and implement lifecycle-tracking practices to maintain quality control, primarily through physical inventories.

Requirements

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and sound analytical abilities.

  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to prioritize competing demands while maintaining urgency.
  • Experience using service desk applications such as Jira or ServiceNow.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Technical understanding of systems, scanners, and applications.
  • Ability to interact with customers on a regular basis.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience issuing and receiving DD1149 hand receipts and performing asset-management tasks including hardware and software license tracking and renewal.
  • Experience with data entry for supply, acquisition, and inventory purposes.
  • Experience recording purchase-request documentation for acquiring items from vendors.
  • Ability to maintain records for shipped items, including database updates and paperwork.

  • Two years of college coursework in business administration, industrial management, or an appropriate discipline, plus six years of progressive experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years’ direct experience with an intelligence community or signals intelligence activity is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement processes and procedures for tracking hardware from requisition through retirement.
  • Maintain the asset-management repository by entering hardware identifiers and ensuring information is accurate, up-to-date, and fully auditable.
  • Work directly with customers to locate missing or unaccounted-for equipment.
  • Create and maintain an inventory schedule that accommodates customer needs and aligns with team goals.
  • Perform physical inventories and document all findings, including changes to network, location, and account information.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual inventories as required by contract or customer request, including Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contract Acquired Property (CAP).
  • Evaluate and maintain required inventory of stock levels.
  • Track and manage hardware maintenance agreements and software license renewals.
  • Compile and submit inventory reports to the Corporate Property Management Team.
  • Process and submit MDATs, CAP Reports, PARs, and DD1149 forms in accordance with customer requirements.
