Together, we build affordable housing and inclusive communities that transform lives. The Asset Manager will review, approve, and monitor annual property management budgets. Identify and manage properties on the watch list/critical list. Manage construction draws on small scale capital improvement projects for properties in assigned portfolio. Create and update asset business plans focused on identifying and mitigating property related risk. Manage capital needs assessments and develop capital plans. Pay: $95,000-110,000 annually, dependent on experience. This is a hybrid position, with approximately one day per week expected in office. Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of financial analysis or accounting experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, business, or related field.
  • Affordable housing or multi-family real estate experience.
  • Experience with property management software (Yardi preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare an annual asset business plan.
  • Create plan for strategies, financial goals, and physical condition, also a five-year plan for each property in the portfolio.
  • Review and recommend annual budget on behalf of the owner, review and approve the annual operating budget for each property in the portfolio as recommended by the property management company.
  • Plan for capital needs.
  • Conduct annual site inspection to evaluate physical condition, operations, and current market conditions.
  • Monitor portfolio to ensure achievement of targeted financial results per approved annual asset business plan and budget.
  • Create strategies for properties operating below budget.
  • Manage risk through prompt resolution of life/safety issues, compliance with Fair Housing, OSHA, IRS, and other regulatory requirements; monitor for any liability issues that could harm the Owner.
  • Promptly report threatened or pending legal action.
  • Ensure that all lender and investor regulatory requirements are met.
  • Other duties as assigned.
