About The Position

We provide equity strategies across regions, sectors, styles and the market cap spectrum. As a US Equities Portfolio Program Analyst you will primarily support senior portfolio managers on the analysis and execution of US Equity Investment strategies. This position presents a unique opportunity to learn about the portfolio management process by assisting in the daily implementation of a portfolio strategy. The role provides the analyst/associate with exposure to JP Morgan Asset Management’s products and investment professionals within US Equity.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree with a degree in Business, Finance or equivalent
  • 1-2+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong understanding of JP Morgan Asset Management’s products and services
  • Strong understanding of financial services industry
  • Market data services knowledge
  • Strong analytical skills, high aptitude for numbers
  • Ability to identify trends through numerical analysis

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Bloomberg is helpful.
  • Coding experience with VBA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of the investment process to assist the portfolio manager in implementing buy/sell decisions by sending down orders in equities, futures, and treasuries.
  • Monitor cash flows amongst various accounts and communicate with trading teams.
  • Monitor futures hedging and keep abreast of portfolio positioning, market news, and trades.
  • Analyze and reconcile position discrepancies, monitor account guidelines and restrictions, and conduct investment performance reviews.
  • Work on ad-hoc projects related to portfolio management, including research initiatives, stock fundamentals and valuation, complex account transitions, and transaction cost analysis.
