About The Position

Investment Specialists play a lead role in client service, business retention, product strategy, and portfolio oversight across our Multi-Asset Solutions platform. We are seeking a senior Investment Specialist for our U.S. Institutional business to support a number of strategies, service a book of existing clients, and ensure the highest standards of client satisfaction across client segments including public and corporate defined benefit plans, health care networks, Taft-Hartley plans, insurance companies, endowments, and foundations. Reporting to the Head of U.S. Institutional Investment Specialists, this role will be responsible for client and consultant management through day-to-day client support and leadership and will be involved in the development of initiatives to enhance the client experience for institutional clients. A key aspect of this position is the development of close collaborative relationships with Client Advisor teams, portfolio managers, and investment teams. Job summary: As an Investment Specialist – Executive Director on the Multi-Asset Investment Specialist team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, guiding their investment strategy design and representing portfolio results, positioning, and our macro-outlook. You will be part of a dynamic team, working closely with colleagues across J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s investment and client teams to deliver integrated solutions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience successfully serving institutional clients in the North America Institutional market
  • Expertise in asset allocation, multi-asset portfolio construction and experience with an array of investment strategies in public equity, public fixed income, real asset, private credit and private equity strongly preferred
  • Highly entrepreneurial, action oriented and self-motivated
  • A track record of problem solving through critical thinking, initiative and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Proven track record of sustainable achievement in a financial sales and client service environment; Outstanding energy, focus, and drive to achieve results
  • Demonstrates industry and product knowledge by understanding the competition, the clients and marketplace
  • Series 7, 63 and 3 certifications

Nice To Haves

  • A working knowledge of institutional investment policy design and portfolio construction
  • CFA and/or CAIA designation preferred
  • Excellent presentation skills which enable the delivery of concise and persuasive new business presentations and investment reviews
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and a genuine interest in the subject matter
  • Strong relationship building skills applicable to existing clients, prospective clients and internal colleagues within Multi-Asset Solutions and across J.P. Morgan
  • Extensive network of relationships with institutional investors preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deepen existing client relationships, acting as the lead investment specialist to service the relationship and conduct investment review meetings.
  • Lead client interactions by representing the multi-asset investment process and house views in meetings, seminars, and conferences.
  • Engage with clients to understand objectives, address needs, and deliver tailored investment solutions.
  • Establish excellent collaborative working relationships with the Client and Consultant Advisor teams, investment teams, research, portfolio managers, investor relations, product development, and other key stakeholders across the firm.
  • Represent the MAS team and collaborate with other teams on various ad-hoc projects. Ensure consistent delivery of accurate and detailed information to clients and internal teams.
  • Create high-quality written content on products and markets for client communications. Analyze client portfolios (returns, risk, performance attribution, etc.), create portfolio proposals, conduct analyses, and other ad-hoc client portfolio or business-related analysis.
