About the position

Join Our Team as Asset Management Associate at TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC! Are you passionate about renewable energy and ready to make a significant impact? TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC is expanding its presence in the renewable energy sector, and we are looking for a dedicated Asset Management Associate to join our team. This exciting role involves working closely with key internal and external stakeholders to manage the commercial, contractual, regulatory, and reporting obligations of the assigned projects.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Project P&L: Ensure projects deliver expected financial returns
  • Coordinate with Accounting: Ensure timely and accurate monthly accruals, GL entries, and internal reporting
  • Administer Financing Agreements: Manage construction loan draws, lease payments, and investor cash distributions
  • Oversee Contract Compliance: Ensure fulfillment of all project-level contracts (PPA, LGIA, O&M, EPC, financing agreements)
  • Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Engage with cash and tax equity investors, off takers, contractors, and regulatory bodies
  • Support Cross-Functional Teams: Resolve material issues affecting assets (e.g., commercial disputes, warranty claims, regulatory violations)
  • Drive PV Plant Performance: Collaborate with operations to identify and prioritize improvement initiatives
  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Oversee project compliance with regulatory and environmental requirements
  • Implement Management Framework: Apply the Asset Management team's framework consistently across projects
  • Support REC and Incentive Programs: Administer accounts in WREGIS, GATS, NEPOOL, and liaise with the trading group for transactions

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Engineering, Business, Accounting or other related field with 4-6 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and years of related experience
  • Experience: 2-4 years of relevant industry experience, ideally in renewable energy finance
  • Experience in financial asset management, project finance, or project development
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to work closely with members of different business groups and functions of a fast-paced global company at all levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, especially advanced Excel
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and strong work ethic with the ability to proactively manage diverse relationships and multiple, complex projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, solar markets and related regulatory issues as well as Renewable Energy Credits and other market incentive programs (i.e. CA's Small Generator Incentive Program or NEPOOL's DG Capacity Market)
