Under direction of the Maintenance and Automation Manager, the Asset Management and Maintenance Scheduler will be responsible for entering the preventive maintenance of all facility and utility systems, including, but not limited to, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), steam, condensate, plumbing, fire protection, and electric systems using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Additionally, the role will be responsible for maintaining the Asset Management Database for the Sparta Plant.

  • Create, prioritize and track work orders.
  • Schedule and close out Maintenance work orders across the Plant.
  • Assess maintenance requests and determining their priority.
  • Record keeping and documentation of all maintenance work.
  • Collaborate with procurement and maintenance teams to manage spare parts inventory effectively to include helping with the parts crib.
  • Participate in all Altium-assigned trainings, communications, and meetings.
  • Adhere to Altium requirements for safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Entering and maintaining assets in the Asset Management Database.
  • Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to track maintenance activities and asset performance.
  • Generate regular reports on maintenance activities, equipment status, and key performance indicators.
  • Analyze maintenance data to identify trends and recommend improvements in maintenance practices.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations.
  • Help promote a culture of safety and preventive maintenance within the maintenance team.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and reduce equipment downtime.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Previous experience in maintenance scheduling, preferably within the injection molding industry.
  • Proficiency in using CMMS and other maintenance-related software.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of the plastics industry, equipment and processes is a plus.
