About The Position

The Asset Integrity Mechanical Lead supports the Maintenance Coordinators in projects associated learns and performs tasks associated with the maintenance and repair of fracturing equipment by performing the following duties. Responsible for leading the repairs and scheduled maintenance on all equipment at the in-basis shop location.

Requirements

  • Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
  • Proficiency in spoken English language.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred or two-year technical degree or higher preferred in Mechanical engineering, materials engineering, corrosion engineering, petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, or metallurgical engineering preferred.
  • Relevant oil and gas industry required, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Effective interpersonal skills (spoken and written communication)
  • Strong leadership and customer service skills.
  • Understanding of ISO standards regarding oil sampling and report reading.
  • Knowledge of cam diagnose and repair electrical circuits with aid of Electrical Dept.
  • Mechanical knowledge of hydraulics components and circuits, ability to diagnose utilizing schematics.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook to complete day to day operations.
  • Ability to work within a team concept to successfully complete assigned tasks.
  • Ability to interact with other employees in a positive manner within the framework of assigned work groups.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with interpersonal communication skills – written and oral.
  • Ability to focus on root cause fact finding and identify failure trends.
  • Ability to build and execute on a post failure strategy.
  • Strong ability to organize daily tasks and work within defined timelines to meet operational requirements.
  • Proven ability to perform confidently, accurately, professionally, and thoroughly in a fast-paced detail-oriented environment while supporting all management decisions.
  • Able to respond quickly and professionally to Field Operations observations and recommendations on safety and maintenance issues.
  • Ability to make decisions in high pressure situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Heavy Equipment Technician certification preferred but not required. Dual certifications preferred.
  • Practical experience in Mechanical integrity, asset management systems and familiarity with relevant codes (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Performs inspection of all Mechanical equipment returning for repair from the field.
  • Gauges fluids on all frac equipment.
  • Organizes, prepares, maintains, and repairs pumping and support equipment.
  • Works with the Maintenance Coordinator to ensure they have the parts needed to complete maintenance and that the shop/field Mechanical team has support.
  • Complete work orders and other paperwork as required to ensure all maintenance is logged and tracked at the direction of the Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Ensure good housekeeping standards are always met at the in-basin shop or test stand.
  • Support the field Mechanical team in processes and procedures for performing maintenance on location.
  • Perform proper oil sampling, post-failure strategies, and root-cause investigations.
  • Conducts work by following all safety rules, standard operating procedures, best practices, and workplace instructions.
  • Will ensure that all best practices and SOPs are followed and up-to-date, mirroring in-basin work.
  • Assists with the testing of all equipment that is under repair at the local shop.
  • Provide SME guidance to all Mechanical challenges on the fleet and/or local shop.
