About The Position

The Asset Disposition Specialist is responsible for processing accounts that are in default and secured by collateral to minimize loss to the Bank. This role involves adhering to government regulations, state laws, and Bank requirements related to real-estate foreclosures and auto/rv/marine repossessions. The specialist will support clients, which may include handling escalated calls, payment negotiations, and collaborating with vendors and internal business partners. The position requires processing necessary paperwork and utilizing various tools and systems to aid decision-making throughout the workflow.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 1+ years of banking, default, and/or client services experience.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and multi-task.
  • Demonstrate basic proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products and familiar with internal job related systems.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years Repossession, Foreclosure, or Default specific experience.
  • 2+ years of banking, default, and/or client services experience.
  • Higher level/secondary education, some college or Associates degree, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Independently process accounts secured by collateral that are in varying stages of default to work towards resolution.
  • Prepare, review and/or analyze department reporting.
  • Minimize risk by complying with Federal regulations, state laws, Bank policy and Unit procedures.
  • Identify, mitigate or communicate any issues or concerns to appropriate parties.
  • Leverage multiple systems/business tools to monitor determine/support appropriate outcomes/actions.
  • Maintain positive and professional working relationships between peers, manager, clients, internal partners, and vendors (attorneys, repo agents, etc).
  • Meet/exceed monthly teammate performance metrics (productive/quality) and some department level metrics as defined by manager.
  • Support departmental controls for process adherence and KRI results.
  • Evaluate accounts, system info and reporting to determine appropriate next steps.
