About The Position

The Joint Use Asset Designer plays a crucial role in providing technical expertise and problem-solving skills within the utility industry. This position involves designing, data collection, and project management for various regional major projects, ensuring effective planning and execution of tasks with a focus on independence and advanced skill development.

Requirements

• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Experience in the utility industry (1 year required).
• Able to effectively apply basic principles of project management.
• Understanding of basic practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations.
• Hands-on distribution line construction experience.
• Experience in Distribution Design (1 year required).

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Maximo BOUD.

Responsibilities

• Applies technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis, and resolution of problems in area of expertise.
• Ensures accomplishment of business goals and objectives through effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities.
• Prepares thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations, and sketches.
• Conducts engineering and related studies.
• Strives to continually improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills, and performance.
• Develops positive working relationships to effectively coordinate work activities.
• Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Maintains accurate records and files.
• Supports the company's goals and represents the company positively and professionally.
