About The Position

The Asset Coordinator at bp's Whiting Refinery in Indiana serves as an Operations Supervisor responsible for coordinating efforts between Operations and Maintenance. This role emphasizes personal and process safety, compliance, and reliability, ensuring that maintenance activities are executed efficiently and safely while fostering a culture of teamwork and communication among staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required with 10+ years of experience in health and safety support in a relevant industry, or 5+ years in petrochemical operations with a technical degree.
• Competency with operations and electrical equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in oil refining and petrochemicals.
• Familiarity with SAP tools and maintenance scheduling processes.

Responsibilities

• Establish expectations for personal safety and ensure compliance with safe work permits and procedures.
• Act as a Control of Work expert, ensuring safe and efficient implementation of work schedules.
• Prioritize maintenance and project work, setting daily and weekly work schedules accordingly.
• Ensure adequate Operations support for work activities and timely preparation of equipment for maintenance.
• Drive completion of Process Safety related maintenance activities and apply MOC policy for necessary changes.
• Ensure timely completion of LDAR repairs and lead the maintenance planning process for Operations.
• Conduct daily and weekly maintenance scheduling meetings and maintain a 16-week maintenance look ahead.
• Lead the development and delivery of the annual maintenance budget, including monthly forecasting.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, learning, and effective communication among team members.
