About The Position

The Asset Coordinator role is a strategic position designed to optimize the lifecycle performance of critical assets while ensuring cost efficiency and regulatory compliance. This role provides decision-making authority on asset rebuilds, acquisitions, and disposals, directly impacting operational reliability and financial performance. Reporting to the Asset Manager, the Asset Coordinator collaborates with leadership and cross-functional teams to align asset strategies with corporate objectives.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in asset management, fleet operations, or logistics, oilfield services experience preferred
  • Proven ability to perform financial analysis and develop cost-optimization strategies
  • Basic technical knowledge and experience applying GAAP
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and strong time-management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and asset management systems; Power BI experience preferred
  • Experience with a major ERP system such as SAP S/4 or Oracle Netsuite, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the Asset Manager, Finance, and Operations leadership to align asset strategies with organizational objectives and ensure transparency in capital allocation decisions
  • Lead decisions on asset rebuilds, purchases, and disposals for major components
  • Drives cost optimization through informed rebuild vs. replacement decisions
  • Enhances operational uptime by ensuring timely availability of major components
  • Supports capital planning and forecasting aligned with corporate growth strategies
  • Authorized to recommend and execute rebuilds, acquisitions, and disposals within approved budget thresholds. Escalates decisions exceeding authority limits to senior leadership for review
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet and fixed assets, including compliance documentation
  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate rebuild feasibility, ROI, and cost optimization opportunities
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely execution of asset strategies
  • Prepare executive-level reports on asset lifecycle performance, utilization, and cost metrics
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal audit requirements
  • Support forecasting and capital planning using fleet attrition models
  • Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, including attending required training and using proper PPE
  • Coordinate the procurement, assignment, and disposal of fleet assets in accordance with company policy and operational requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Asset Manager
