How you’ll contribute An Assessment Specialist RN who excels in this role will: Be responsible for working with internal and external customers to identify patients appropriate for admission to the Behavioral Health Unit. Be responsible for conducting a crisis assessment as identified in the essential job specific functions. Provides planning and delivery of direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. Develops nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff as necessary. Communicates changes in patient’s clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager and Director of Assessment as appropriate. Additional requirements include: Previous experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred. Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment plannings and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities. Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing. CPR and De-escalation certification required or obtain with 30 days of hire. Requirements

  • Applicants should be a Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing (Required).
  • Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
