About The Position
The Assessment Generalist (AG) position at NADAP is a vital role for those looking to make a significant impact in the field of substance use counseling. As a CASAC-Trainee, you will be part of a dynamic professional team dedicated to providing assessment and referral services to public assistance clients facing substance abuse challenges. This position offers a competitive salary of $45,000 per year, along with a $2,000 sign-on bonus, and an excellent health package that includes tuition reimbursement and a loan forgiveness program. The AG role is designed to allow for a balanced work-life schedule, as it operates during standard business hours from Monday to Friday, eliminating the need for caseloads and treatment plans. In this role, you will conduct substance abuse assessments under the supervision of a qualified CASAC, determining the appropriate level of care for clients and making necessary referrals to treatment programs. You will also be responsible for reviewing Quarterly Progress Reports (QPRs) submitted by treatment programs to assess client progress towards employment and self-sufficiency. The AG position emphasizes the importance of clinical assessment and documentation, requiring well-written assessments that communicate findings effectively to supervising staff. The Assessment Generalist will utilize various systems, including HRAputer systems (STARS and NYC WAY), to manage client data and ensure accurate reporting.
