We are currently seeking a Assessment Counselor to support our clients at York. Requirements

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling with a Master's level licensure: Marriage and family therapy, social work, professional counseling or certification by a state wide certification board.
  • Master's Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling and are working towards a Master's level licensure (Marriage and family therapy, social work, professional counseling), or certification by a state wide certification board (CAADC).
  • Bachelors Level with a CADC or are working towards a CADC with a minimum of one year of qualifying clinical experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a CAAC.
  • Current licensure in this Commonwealth as a registered nurse and a degree from an accredited school of nursing and one year of qualifying clinical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Introduce and explain the Level of Care Assessment (LOCA) process to clients.
  • Collect demographic and historical information relevant to the LOCA.
  • Explain and facilitate signatures for Releases of Information (ROI) and other admission paperwork.
  • Facilitate admission process by communicating with Licensed Counselor when client is ready for clinical portion of the LOCA.
  • Gather information for and complete precertification for all managed care clients when applicable.
  • Required to find placement in appropriate setting for the client.
  • Other duties as assigned.
