About The Position

As an Assessment Clinician, you will be the first point of contact for individuals seeking mental health and substance use treatment in Clinton, Illinois. This role provides same-day access for individuals ensuring timely and compassionate care. You will conduct intake, screening, and comprehensive assessments using IM+CANS and ASAM, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver crisis intervention services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human service field
• Graduate degree in counseling, clinical psychology, social work, or other human service fields
• Minimum of 21 years of age
• Reliable means of transportation

Nice To Haves

• Certification as Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), LSW, or LPC preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide same-day access assessments for individuals presenting mental health or substance use concerns.
• Complete intake, screening, and diagnostic assessments using IM+CANS and ASAM criteria.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate referrals for ongoing services.
• Deliver crisis intervention for individuals experiencing acute behavioral health symptoms.
• Conducting risk assessments for suicide, self-harm, and violence.
• Implementing de-escalation strategies and crisis stabilization techniques.
• Creating safety plans and connecting individuals to appropriate levels of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with agency and state standards.
