About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the operation of production equipment to produce quality products meeting customer specifications.

Requirements

• Ability to safely work in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Ability to read and follow basic work instructions and blueprints
• Basic math skills (measuring, counting, adding/subtracting)
• Ability to use hand tools and basic power tools
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
• Willingness to follow safety rules, quality standards, and company policies
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or steel fabrication
• Experience using measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, squares)

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with shop equipment such as drills, grinders, or saws
• Ability to work in a steel fabrication environment with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and vibration
• Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection

Responsibilities

• Assemble steel components according to work orders, drawings, and specifications
• Use hand tools, power tools, and basic shop equipment safely and correctly
• Perform basic material handling (moving parts, staging assemblies, loading/unloading)
• Verify parts and assemblies meet dimensional and quality requirements
• Maintain production pace to meet daily or weekly output goals
• Conduct visual inspections of parts and assemblies for defects or damage
• Measure components using basic measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, squares, etc.)
• Report quality concerns, missing parts, or damaged materials to a supervisor
• Follow documented quality and work instructions consistently
• Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and safe work practices
• Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Immediately report unsafe conditions, near misses, or injuries
