About The Position

We are looking for self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates who would like to join our production team in our Buckeye, AZ location! New employees can earn 55K in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 40-50 hour work week. This includes the base rate, shift differential, overtime, retention and production bonuses. There are additional ways to earn including referral bonuses and mentoring incentives. Position is full-time with benefits! 1st Shift When working 9 hour shift schedule, Monday - Thursday Day shift - 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Friday Day shift - 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM. And Mandatory alternating Saturdays Day shift - 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM When working 8 hour shift schedule Monday - Friday 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM. Must be able to work all schedules. Assembles steel joist components ready for final welding; performs such work consistent with corporate mission, values and department's financial objectives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, steel industry preferred.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Sets up jigs, reads and interprets shop drawings necessary for such work.
• Moves parts into position.
• Aligns parts.
• Tack welds or clamps parts into position ready for moving along conveyor to final welding area.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including, but not limited to, cleaning, metal scrap removal and other joist assembly-related activities.
