Assembly Worker, 2nd Shift
About The Position
We are looking for self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates who would like to join our production team in our Buckeye, AZ location! New employees can earn 60K in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 40-50 hour work week. This includes the base rate, shift differential, overtime, retention and production bonuses. There are additional ways to earn including referral bonuses and mentoring incentives. Position is full-time with benefits! 2nd Shift 8 hour schedule: Monday-Friday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM 9 hour shift schedule: Monday - Thursday Night shift - 3:00 PM - 12:30 PM Friday Night shift - 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Mandatory alternating Saturdays Night shift - 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM Must be able to work all shift schedules Assembles steel joist components ready for final welding; performs such work consistent with corporate mission, values and department's financial objectives.
Requirements
- No experience necessary. On the job training provided.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Sets up jigs, reads and interprets shop drawings necessary for such work.
- Moves parts into position.
- Aligns parts.
- Tack welds or clamps parts into position ready for moving along conveyor to final welding area.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor including, but not limited to, cleaning, metal scrap removal and other joist assembly-related activities.
