The Assembly Vacation Support is responsible for supporting a specific zone on an assembly line which produces both domestic and foreign products. Timely delivery of quality products enables North Carolina Manufacturing Plant and other Honda factories to produce quality products for our customers.

Requirements

  • Preferred 1+ years manufacturing related experience
  • Skill leading a small group of associates
  • Thorough understanding of assembly concepts and processes
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Have knowledge and competency of all processes in assigned zone to quickly fill any position for various reasons (absenteeism/paid time off/emergency relief).
  • Support completion of daily check sheets for Safety, Equipment, and Quality to ensure timely delivery of products to the customer.
  • React quickly to make adjustments that impact aspects of Safety, Quality, and/or Delivery of product to the customer.
  • Confirm daily production plan and communicate with production associates to ensure production targets are achieved.
  • Confirm and arrange work area during model changeover to ensure downtime is minimized and product is built correctly.
  • Confirm production areas are complying to safety standards of the North Carolina Manufacturing Plant.
