Your Impact We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team in Danbury, CT. In this role, you will play a key part in assembling, testing, and troubleshooting wireless communication modules and electronic components, ensuring each product meets Acre’s high standards for performance, quality, and reliability.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; a technical certificate or associate degree is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in electronic or electro-mechanical assembly.
  • Proficiency in hand soldering and the use of small assembly tools.
  • A basic understanding of electronic schematics, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
  • Familiarity with RF or wireless systems, connectors, and cable assemblies.
  • Strong attention to detail, a quality-focused mindset, and good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work under magnification for extended periods.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assembling IoT modules, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi devices, or embedded electronics.
  • Experience using ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP for work order tracking.
  • Familiarity with ESD procedures and ISO 9001 quality practices.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble wireless modules, PCB subassemblies, and electronic components according to engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and work orders.
  • Perform through-hole and surface-mount soldering in line with IPC standards.
  • Install and route wiring, connectors, and hardware for RF, digital, and power circuits.
  • Operate and maintain test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers to perform functional and quality checks.
  • Conduct visual inspections and basic functional testing to ensure quality compliance.
  • Record assembly and test data in production tracking systems (ERP/MES).
  • Follow ESD-safe and cleanroom procedures as required.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on prototype builds and process improvements.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
