As a Sign Assembler at Archetype Signs, you will play a crucial role in the creation of our unique and customized signs. Your responsibilities will include:

Requirements

  • Previous experience in sign assembly or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and specifications accurately.
  • Physical fitness to handle materials and perform tasks that require agility.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Reading and Interpreting Work Orders: Thoroughly review work orders and proofs to understand the precise requirements for each sign assembly.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that each sign meets our stringent quality standards by meticulously inspecting and verifying components and finished products.
  • Component Assembly: Skillfully assemble various sign components, such as accents, facers, and backers, using the appropriate techniques and materials.
  • Material Handling: Work with a variety of materials, including acrylic, PVC foam, and aluminum, to craft signs that exceed expectations.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of precision and attention to detail throughout the assembly process to accurately represent the intended design.
  • Physical Requirements: Lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day), and perform tasks that require physical dexterity.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with your colleagues to ensure smooth assembly processes and the timely completion of tasks.
  • Chemical Handling: Safely use chemicals, glues, and adhesive releases as part of the assembly process, following proper protocols and utilizing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves.
  • Computer Skills: Utilize computers for tasks such as accessing work orders, proofs, and potentially using software tools for design or documentation purposes.
  • Communication: Actively communicate any challenges, deviations from work orders, or quality concerns to supervisors or team leads.
