About The Position

JOB SUMMARYAssemble units and components as well as convert and repair material to customer requirements and designer specifications to meet or exceed department goals. Provide assistance to those outside your department as well as those in your department. Exercise excellent teamwork and communication with everyone that you work with. Complete special projects as assigned by your supervisor thoroughly and on time.MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIESAssemble units and components, and/or convert as well as repair material to meet factory specifications, customer requirements, bill of materials, drawings, assembly instructions and departmental goals for accuracy and timeliness.Immediately report discrepancies to the bill of material, questionable product quality, and/or potential problems with the order entry to the Production Manager as well as to the inventory planner responsible for the product line or associate who entered the order.Exhibit teamwork in dealings with the engineering group, shop, warehouse, and department associates to meet goals of the division.Communicate fully to keep all appropriate people informed of important issues.Maintain a clean and safe work area, and follow all OSHA requirements to protect yourself and others.Utilize warehouse management software to execute pulling and processing job material on work orders and conversion orders.Always work toward the attainment of the department and division goals of quality and timely delivery.III. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-3 years industry-related experience or3-5 years experience in a mechanical environment
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Basic principles of Electricity
  • Operation of basic shop tools & equipment (drill press, saws, lathes, testing equipment)
  • Basic PC and MS Office, Google Apps and Trend/TWL competency.
  • Able to meet technical expertise levels as follows:Understand basic Fluid Power TheoryUnderstand how components work and their function in the systemRead parts drawings to convert or specify assembly partsRead engineering drawing and dimensional specifications
  • Ability to stand at a workbench, lathe, grinder, or test equipment for unspecified time (often)

Responsibilities
