About The Position

Come join us! Cirris Inc, a leading manufacturer of electrical cable and harness test equipment, has an immediate opening for an Assembly Technician. The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling electrical testing devices and components according to engineering specifications and quality standards. The technician will have experience in electronics or precision mechanical assembly and a commitment to safety and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with ESD-safe practices and basic electrical safety.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
  • Experience assembling electrical testing equipment or similar precision devices.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 5S workplace organization.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in assembly, preferably in electronics or instrumentation manufacturing.
  • IPC certification (e.g., IPC-A-610 or IPC/WHMA-A-620).
  • Regularly lift 50 pounds and use of hand and wrists when typing information on keyboard. Must be able to twist, reach overhead, crawl, stoop, and bend to the floor. Occasionally lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to read written materials and instructions to communicate with co-workers and customers.
  • Must be able to make and receive phone calls.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical and mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
  • Follow detailed work instructions, schematics, and assembly drawings to ensure product quality and consistency.
  • Perform tasks such as wiring, soldering, crimping, and mechanical fastening.
  • Inspect parts and completed assemblies for defects and compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve assembly challenges.
  • Support inventory control by tracking parts usage and reporting shortages.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
