About The Position

NW Service Enterprises, Inc. (NWS) Professional Assembly is seeking candidates for the Assembly Technician position. This role involves working on-site at local Retail Stores such as Home Depot, Lowe's, or Walmart, assembling merchandise and displays. Products to be assembled include Barbecues, Bicycles, Wheelbarrows, Lawn Tractors, Work Benches, and Furniture. The available work is seasonal and can fluctuate, with spikes in Spring through Summer and again during the Holidays. The company offers flexible scheduling, suitable for both part-time and those seeking maximum available work. Pay transitions to a piece-rate system after training, where new technicians typically average $18 to $25 per hour, and experienced technicians can earn upwards of $30/hour based on productivity, never falling below the local minimum wage. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on mechanical work, stays physically active, and is comfortable working independently. This role requires prolonged standing, sustained physical activity, repetitive hand and arm motions, and maintaining a steady pace.

Requirements

  • Day-shift/early morning availability
  • Self-motivated: able to work hard with minimal supervision
  • A mechanical aptitude: you are handy
  • Has Basic hand tools, cordless screw gun, or impact driver
  • A smartphone and e-mail address
  • Internet access via a smartphone or mobile device
  • Ability to pass a background test
  • Ability to pass a drug test
  • Must be at least 18 years old to apply
  • Reliable transportation
  • Capable of working on your feet for extended periods
  • Kneel, bend, twist, and lift 50+ pounds repeatedly

Responsibilities

  • Assembly and repair products and merchandise, using manufacturer instructions while adhering to retailer rules and guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service, building and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
  • Check in with Retailer management to confirm the build list and inventory.
  • Generate and complete invoices daily.
  • Report and communicate effectively with your Area Manager.
  • Maintain a safe, clean workspace and leave clients with a clean build area.
