Assembly Technician – AD Systems – Everett, WA The Assembly Technician at AD Systems is responsible for assembling and preparing products for shipment to the customer. This role primarily works with machines and hand tools to assemble aluminum and wood door components. The role may include support of material handling, quality control, and material packaging. Assembly Technicians may operate machinery, such as forklifts, nail guns, hand drills, and more.

Requirements

  • Entry level position.
  • Following safety protocols and maintaining hazard awareness.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle parts and tools with precision.
  • Repetitive Motion: Perform repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands.
  • Standing Duration: Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
  • Lifting Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Environmental Exposure: Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of assembly or other manufacturing experienced preferred.
  • Experience operating forklifts preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and interpret product nomenclature, including working from drawings, pick lists, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Prepare and fulfill orders as according to the order specification.
  • Operate hand tools, such as grinders, saws, drills, pneumatic nail guns, sanders, and more.
  • Perform finishing responsibilities for the product, including quality checks using calipers, tape measures, and levels.
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and safety in the work area.
  • Prioritize and handle materials to ensure on-time-delivery to the customer per requirements.
