About The Position

The Assembly Tech assembles various products across the production line. This is achieved through identifying components, cutting raw materials, checking the quality of assemblies, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

High school education or equivalent experience.
Ability to read job travelers and check significant components.
Ability to operate essential hand tools (i.e., hammer, screwdriver, pliers, drill, etc.).
Attention to detail.
Good communication skills at all levels.
Ability to identify parts and build from prints provided.
Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
Ability to read a tape measure and use the decimal system.
Willing to perform repetitive tasks while remaining stationary for extended periods.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Use tools to make, repair, and assemble parts and products.
Interpret diagrams, schematics, blueprints, or other verbal and written instructions.
Cut raw materials needed for completion of the job.
Skills necessary for measurement correction to obtain necessary parts to meet specifications.
Follow directions given to work as a team.
Have full knowledge of all PPE gear required by MJC for the department
Identify necessary components needed for completion of the job.
Assemble various products, per training guidelines.
Complete each job by finishing with an internal inspection of the assembly.
Maintain a SAFE and CLEAN working environment.
