Assembly Technician [2nd Shift]
About The Position
Iteris is seeking two Assembly Technicians to support overall manufacturing operations and requires an assembly shop background. Ability to assemble mechanically and electrically OEM equipment. Individual carries out routine assignments and supports Production Lead in disassembly and troubleshooting as needed. This position will also perform routine quality tasks associated with AS9100 compliance, and handling of discrepant material. 2nd shift schedule: M-Th 1:30pm - 11:00pm and F 8:00am - 12:00pm
Requirements
- HS Diploma
- Over two (2) years mechanical assembly experience ,or related experience or degree preferred
- Over three (3) years electrical assembly experience
- Soldering experience required
- Experience working in a fast paced, minimum supervision environment
- Must be able to read basic and complexed diagrams, schematics, and/or diagrams
- Flexible for possible transfers due to demand of work
- Ability to exert moderate physical effort, typically involving, some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds)
Responsibilities
- Study assembly instructions, drawing specifications, schematics, and parts lists
- Gather parts, sub-assemblies, tools, and materials required for the job
- Position parts and tools by using templates or reading measurements
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit
- Utilizing handheld tools and other mechanical equipment
- Resolves assembly issues or product defects by notifying supervisor
- Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment according to OSHA and as instructed by the manager to comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Conserve resources by using appropriate time and energy on equipment and supplies to accomplish job results
- Documents actions and issues by completing production or quality forms
- Contributes, supports, and be a team player by accomplishing related tasks as needed
- Perform additional duties that may be given or assigned from time to time or as needed due to the demand of business
- May work longer hours when needed
- Observe all company policies and procedures and maintain professionalism and good performance
